At Octane Environmental, we recognize the importance of using the resources we have to give back to our community. Our team worked together to help bear the burden for families enduring critical illnesses. Here is just one example of how we give back to our community.
Wednesday was more than a good day—it was a reminder of who we are and what we’re capable of when we come together.
Because of this team and the relationships we’ve built, we raised $5,000 for the WVU Medicine Children’s Comfort Fund and placed it directly into the hands of Erin Blake—helping families stay close to their loved ones as they fight battles most of us can’t imagine.
That alone matters.
But what happened next… that’s something we will carry with us for a long time.
We gave Steven/Expand Energy a custom Fife On The Fly rod and top-of-the-line fishing equipment to pass along to his son, Ethan, who was going through chemo treatment that day.
As we were leaving, standing out in the parking lot, I got a call—and it was Ethan...
“Mr. Fife, Mr. Fife… look up and look right.”
We looked up—and there he was, standing in his hospital window, jumping up and down with a smile so big you could feel it from where we stood. Pure excitement. Pure joy. In a moment when he had every reason not to feel that way.
He couldn’t believe that fly rod… that gear… was his.
That moment wasn’t just his.
It was ours.
That’s what this team creates. Not just business. Not just results. Real impact. Real moments. Something bigger than all of us.
We don’t always get to see the difference we make—but Wednesday, we did. When you join the Octane team, you become part of a family that serves our community.
