OPEN POSITIONS

Job Title:  General Laborer


Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions. This job includes physical labor and some heavy lifting.


Reporting Structure: Reports to Crew Leader / Site Supervisor 


Salary Range: $16-18/Hour

 

Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV, OH, and PA

 

Job Description/Responsibilities includes but not limited to:  

• Perform physical labor tasks including, lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and materials 

• Ability to operate or learn to operate basic hand tools such as grinder, heat gun, drill, etc.

• Develop understanding of equipment maintenance and ability to perform  daily inspections / maintenance to ensure safe operational standards

• Employee must have reliable transportation to and from Octane Yard

• Ability to operate or learn to operate Skid Loader to Octane Environmental Safety Standards  

• Successfully pass and maintain all required safety certifications provided by Octane  

Environmental Safety Division  

• PEC Safety Certified, OSHA 10 Certified, and has obtained/maintained customer specific training


Job Title: Field Technician / Operator

 

Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions. This job includes physical labor and some heavy lifting.

 

Reporting Structure: Reports to Crew Leader / Site Supervisor 


Salary Range: $17-$20 / Hour 


Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV 


Job Description/Responsibilities includes but not limited to:  

•  Applicant has shown mastery in General Laborer job description/responsibilities as evaluated by Division Director or appointee

• Field Technicians have had at least 6 months of successful experience with Octane Environmental

•  Field Technicians have shown to be proficient with containment specific equipment such as Liester, Wedge Welder, Extruder, etc.

• Operators have had at least 1 year of successful experience with Octane Environmental 

• Operators must pass written and performance-based skills tests for PIT, Ariel Lift, etc.  

• PEC Safety Certified, OSHA 10 Certified, and has obtained/maintained customer specific training

• Has demonstrated reliability as an employee as shown in consistent work ethic, punctuality, and job readiness 

• Proven ability to successfully start and complete job tasks with minimum supervision and oversight


Job Title: Rescue Services - Rescue Team Member


Salary Range: Based on Experience and Qualifications


Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV


Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications 

· Completion of high school education or equivalent certification 

· Prior experience in emergency services or first aid is advantageous, though not mandatory 

· Documented industrial work experience (such as manufacturing, construction, or warehouse operations) 

· Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure environments 

· Excellent physical health and endurance 

· Must possess strong attention to detail and demonstrate a high level of discipline. 

· Comfortable working at heights and tight spaces 

· Outstanding communication skills and capacity to collaborate within a team 

· Availability for flexible work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

· Must be motivated to learn and adapt to different environments


Experience 

· Experience working in an industrial environment is preferred. 

· Experience with safety protocols, machinery operation, or hazardous environments is highly valued.

·  Familiarity with Confined Space Rescue procedures, High Angle Rope  Rescue, Experience working with SCBA / SARs equipment or workplace safety training is considered an asset. 

· Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations within industrial settings. 


Job Description/Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

· Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies occurring within industrial facilities 

· Execute rescue operations and provide first aid as circumstances require 

· Work closely with colleagues to ensure safe and effective resolution of incidents 

· Conduct safety assessments and participate in ongoing training programs 

· Maintain and inspect rescue equipment, adhering strictly to established safety protocols 

· Be prepared to utilize your technical rescue skills and perform a rescue without hesitation.  

· Inspect, maintain, and train with all rescue equipment on each rescue job.   

· Rescue plans and JSA's. 

· Hazard assessment and mitigation. 

· Other duties as outlined by leadership.

Job Title: CDL Driver


Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions.  

Driving to and from Job Locations as well as to various landfills for disposal. 


Reporting Structure: Reports to Project Manager 

 

Salary Range: $25-$29/Hour 


Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV  


Job Description/Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

• Must possess Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a clean driving record.   

• Gas & Oilfield Experience is preferred but not required.  

• Daily performance and pre/post trip inspections.  

• PEC Safety Certified, OSHA 10 Certified, and has obtained/maintained customer specific training.  

• Compliance with Federal and State reporting requirements, as well as Octane Environmental internal reports.   


Job Title: Crew Leader 


Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions. This job includes physical labor and some heavy lifting. 


Reporting Structure: Reports to Project Manager / Site Supervisor


Salary Range: $18-21/Hour

 

Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV


Job Description/Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

•  Applicant has shown mastery in General Laborer, Field Technician, Operator job descriptions/responsibilities as evaluated by Division Director or appointee

• Employee has a valid driver’s license and qualifies as an “Approved Driver” as per Octane Environmental Standards. Octane Environmental reserves the right to waive this requirement for well-qualified candidates.   

• Ensure crew members adhere to company policies and safety regulations  

• PEC Safety Certified, OSHA 10 Certified, and has obtained/maintained customer specific training

• Facilitate communication between crew members and management  

• Monitor the performance of the crew and ensure all work meets Octane Environmental Quality Standards

• Accurately complete daily reporting documents (ie) Work Orders, JSA requirements, Critical Activity Plans, etc.  


Job Title: Field Supervisor


Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions. This job  includes physical labor and some heavy lifting.


Reporting Structure: Reports to Operations Manager


Salary Range: $22-$25/Hour 

 

Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV


Job Description/Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

•  Applicant has shown mastery in General Laborer, Field Technician, Operator job, Crew Lead job descriptions/responsibilities as evaluated by Division Director or appointee

• Employee has a valid driver’s license and qualifies as an “Approved Driver” as per Octane Environmental Standards

• Ensure crew leaders and team members adhere to company policies and safety regulations  

• Facilitate communication between crew leaders and management  

• PEC Safety Certified, OSHA 10 Certified, and has obtained/maintained customer specific training

• Monitor the performance of the crew and ensure all work meets Octane Environmental Quality Standards

• Accountable for communication with dispatch for pickup and delivery of materials, equipment, and crews

• Accurately complete daily reporting documents (ie) Job Summaries, material usage, next day activities 


Job Title:  Dispatcher


Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions. This job involves critical thinking, analytical skills, and strong communication skills.

Location:  This is a full-time on-site role for a Dispatcher located in Bridgeport, WV. 


Salary Range:  $20-$22 per Hour depending on experience, with benefits:  401k, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays
 

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage logistics and coordinate schedules
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software and other related tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the energy or environmental services sector is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training are advantageous


Job Description/Responsibilities include but not limited to: The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of field crews, ensuring timely and efficient deployment for various environmental and infrastructure services. The role includes tasks such as monitoring job progress, maintaining communication with crews, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The Dispatcher will also be responsible for updating records and providing support to field operations. 


Job Title: Project Manager


Work Environment: Gas & Oilfield work with exposure to various weather conditions. This job  includes field responsibilities as well as office duties as well. 


Reporting Structure: Reports to Operations Director


Salary Range: Based on Experience and Qualifications


Location: Yard Located in Harrison County, WV – Project locations throughout WV


Job Description/Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

• Responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closing of projects

• Serves as a bridge between customers, executives, team members, and vendors

• Maintains comprehensive project documentation 

•  Understands budget management and works with billing department to ensure all costs and revenue is accurately captured for each project

• Proficiency in basic technology to include but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, etc. 

• PEC Safety Certified, OSHA 10 Certified, and has obtained/maintained customer specific training 

•  Responsible for ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed onsite and crew credentials maintained through Octane Safety Division  

• Works with executive team to plan and determine upcoming needs as related to staffing, equipment, and materials
