Terry Seikel

Chair

Terry Seikel co-founded Octane Environmental, LLC in 2016 and has served as its Chairman since inception. Under his leadership, Octane has grown into a recognized leader in the environmental services industry, known for its innovative approach to sustainability, waste management, and field operations across industrial sectors.

In addition to his role at Octane, Terry is the President and CEO of Defiance Holdings, LLC, a private investment firm he established. Through Defiance Holdings, Terry manages non-controlling equity interests in approximately 15 privately held companies, spanning a wide array of industries and sectors.

Before founding Octane, Terry was the Chairman and CEO of A.R.E. Accessories, LLC, a premier manufacturer of painted fiberglass truck caps, tonneau covers, and custom fiberglass components. During his tenure from 2006 to 2015, A.R.E. grew to employ around 700 people and generated annual sales of $110 million. His strategic direction and operational oversight culminated in the successful sale of the company in 2015.

Terry’s career exemplifies a deep commitment to entrepreneurial leadership, operational excellence, and long-term business growth. His track record of founding, scaling, and investing in businesses continues to influence Octane Environmental’s strategic path and culture of innovation.

CFO

Joe Seikel has served as Octane Environmental’s Chief Financial Officer since joining the Company in 2017. In this role, Joe oversees all facets of the company’s accounting, finance, FP&A, treasury, tax, and related financial functions and provides strategic analysis and guidance to all of the company’s stakeholders. He is also heavily involved in the company’s operational, strategic, and administrative functions.

Before joining Octane, Joe was a Manager in PwC’s Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services group, where he advised clients on various financial and regulatory reporting aspects spanning the deal spectrum. He graduated summa cum laude from Albion College with a bachelor’s in Economics and Management – with an emphasis in accounting.  He is also an inactive CPA.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys reading, running, yoga, and playing with his children.

 COO

Eric Garcia is the Chief Operating Officer of Octane Environmental and has been with the Company since its inception.  He brings a disciplined, results-driven approach shaped by both military and industry experience. Before entering the energy sector, Eric served six years in the U.S. Army — two years with a reserve unit and four years on active duty — where he developed his leadership, operational planning, and problem-solving skills.

In 2006, he began his oil and gas career with Universal Well Services, specializing in conventional vertical fracking. Over the years, Eric has built a reputation for operational excellence, hands-on leadership, and a deep understanding of both fieldwork and corporate strategy.

At Octane, Eric leads daily operations and long-term initiatives, focused on efficiency, safety, and sustainable growth. His leadership style is rooted in fairness, accountability, and respect — always working to build a strong leadership structure while listening to the concerns of his team and offering clear direction in challenging moments.

 Controller

A seasoned finance executive with over two decades of

leadership in financial operations, strategic planning, and accounting management

across the construction, manufacturing, energy, and nonprofit sectors. She joined

Octane Environmental in January 2025, bringing deep expertise in full-cycle accounting,

financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning.

Known for her hands-on leadership style, Mary excels at streamlining financial and

accounting operations, negotiating capital structures, building high-performing finance

teams, and establishing robust internal systems and policies.

Mary holds degrees in Accounting & Economics (cum laude) and Business

Administration (summa cum laude) from the College of Westchester. She is an active

member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, the

Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, and the College of Westchester Alumni Association.

Outside of work, Mary enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

VP of Strategy & Business Development

With over 20 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry, Marshall Fife brings deep industry insight and proven leadership to his role at Octane Environmental. He began his career in the service field, later founding and operating a successful oil and gas safety supply business. This entrepreneurial background shaped his strengths in customer relations, operational strategy, and team leadership.

At Octane, Marshall spearheads business development initiatives nationwide, forging and nurturing client relationships across both traditional oil and gas sectors as well as the rapidly expanding biogas market. His hands-on leadership style, combined with a results-driven mindset and approachable nature, make him a trusted partner to clients and a valued leader within the company.

Outside of work, Marshall enjoys fly fishing, bow hunting, and spending time outdoors, reflecting the same passion and energy he brings to his professional endeavors.

Operations Manager 

Tom Hill has been part of the oil and gas industry since 2011, bringing over a decade of hands-on field experience to the Octane Environmental team. Since joining Octane in 2018, Tom has become a key contributor to our operations, focusing primarily on polyurea coating applications and aboveground storage tank (AST) installations.

Tom’s early industry experience was rooted in production operations, where he specialized in the plumbing of GPU systems, production tanks, wellheads, and meter runs. He also spent time as a laborer and screw pipe fitter on compressor station builds, giving him a well-rounded foundation across various infrastructure and mechanical systems.

Certified in manual lathe and drill press operations, Tom also holds active forklift and aerial lift certifications. His technical knowledge and field precision are instrumental in executing complex environmental and containment projects safely and efficiently.

Outside of work, Tom is a self-proclaimed speed junkie who enjoys anything with two or more wheels — from motorcycles to high-performance vehicles.

Director of Industrial Services & Fleet

Travis Knotts brings a combined 33 years of leadership, logistics, and field operations experience to Octane Environmental. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Travis served 21 years with distinction before transitioning to a successful 12-year career in oil field management and logistics. His background includes overseeing high-risk operations, coordinating multi-site field teams, and driving performance in demanding environments. Known for his reliability and work ethic, Travis plays a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant solutions across Octane’s oil, gas, and biogas operations. When he’s off the clock, you’ll likely find him weight training, out on the golf course, or riding his Harley.

 Industrial Cleaning Ops. Manager

With over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Ernie Rush brings a wealth of operational expertise to Octane Environmental. As a seasoned Operations Manager, Ernie specializes in vac truck operations, industrial pressure washing, and safety leadership — areas critical to the success of high-demand fieldwork and environmental services.

Ernie is known for his calm demeanor under pressure, particularly in emergency situations, where his clear-headed decision-making ensures safety and efficiency. His reputation for strong leadership, timely project completion, and managing large teams effectively makes him a cornerstone of Octane’s field operations.

Beyond work, Ernie is deeply committed to his community. He coaches youth wrestling and girls’ softball, and actively participates in the local 4H program and Junior Livestock Association. His passion for helping kids shines through in all his volunteer work. At the heart of it all is his family — Ernie values quality time with them above all else.

Sr. Operations & Purchasing Manager 

Danny began his career in the oilfield on the frac side and steadily worked his way up to become a frac engineer with nearly two decades of hands-on experience. Over the past 19 years, he has overseen multiple crews across the oil and gas industry, playing a vital role in building well sites, laying rig and frac pads, driving heavy haul equipment, and constructing aboveground storage tank (AST) systems. His career has been marked by a strong commitment to environmental safety—prioritizing containment measures to protect the surrounding ecosystems on every project.

With a deep understanding of frac engineering, logistics, and site operations, Danny brings a wealth of field-tested knowledge to every job. His leadership style is grounded in experience, precision, and a relentless work ethic.

Outside of work, Danny is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and beloved cats. He’s also a long-distance target shooting enthusiast and an avid motorcycle rider. A proud Harley owner, Danny embraces the open road and the freedom that comes with it.

 Director of Biogas & RNG 

Brice has accumulated over 15 years of experience in the renewable natural gas and oil and gas industries. Under his leadership, Octane has built a strong team of field professionals, expanding the company’s capabilities and delivering exceptional service to clients across the RNG sector. Brice has successfully collaborated with major companies in the RNG space, fostering partnerships and advancing project goals. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and attending live sporting events of all kinds.

Sr. Estimator of Biogas & RNG

With over a decade of experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry, Tony has extended and played a key role in the successful development and execution of biogas projects valued at more than $250 million over the last few years. Tony's career is built on a foundation of technical precision, collaborative problem-solving, and a commitment to environmental stewardship.

At Octane Environmental, he serves as a Senior Estimator, where he contributes strategic insight and cost analysis expertise to complex infrastructure initiatives. His track record reflects a deep understanding of renewable energy systems, with a focus on optimizing project performance and sustainability outcomes.

Beyond his professional life, Tony is a proud father of four and deeply grateful to his wife for her unwavering support and patience amidst the demands of this dynamic field.

Compliance Manager

Bob served five years in the United States Marine Corps, with deployments in Operation Enduring Freedom (2002) and the Iraq Campaign. After his military service, Bob earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the New England College of Business and Finance.

He went on to work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a product manager before entering the oil and gas industry in 2010. Bob began as a Safety Consultant for Antero Resources and later served as Operations Manager for a rig moving company. His hands-on experience spans snubbing, workover, drilling operations, and yard management, making him a well-rounded leader in field operations.

In addition to his industry roles, Bob is a certified scuba instructor, rescue diver, swiftwater rescue technician, and an advanced CPR/First Aid instructor. His combination of leadership, safety expertise, and field knowledge makes him a key asset to Octane Environmental’s operational success.

Estimation & Sales Professional

With over 13 years of experience in the energy sector, including expertise in gas, oil, and environmental solutions, Matt McDaniels is a seasoned professional specializing in estimations and sales at Octane Environmental. His deep industry knowledge, combined with a client-centric approach, allows him to deliver precise, cost-effective solutions tailored to the complex needs of his clients.

Matt holds a Master’s degree from Converse University and an undergraduate degree from Marshall University, providing him with a strong academic foundation to complement his practical experience. Throughout his career, he has developed a reputation for translating intricate technical details into clear, actionable insights for clients in both the energy and environmental sectors.

In his role at Octane Environmental, Matt is integral to delivering customized environmental services, including waste management, remediation, and energy efficiency solutions, with a focus on gas and oil industries. He prides himself on building long-lasting relationships, ensuring projects meet both regulatory standards and client goals.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends and has a passion for coaching baseball, where he fosters teamwork and leadership in young athletes.

Safety Manager

Brings over 7 years of oil and gas industry experience to his role as Safety Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety from Fairmont University and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Kenny is dedicated to maintaining safe, compliant work environments and takes a proactive approach to risk management. 

Outside of work, he’s an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman.
